Ah, I see, that sounds pretty neat. It's kind of lame, though, that it was only released for the Nintendo 3DS.

No kidding. Especially since the 3DS analog stick is prone to slipping and sometimes screwed me up.
I can imagine! A 3DS was probably the worst system choice. I wish I still had the original Yoshi's Island. I used to have it for SNES and GBA. :(
I think I have the old SNES cartridge lying around somewhere. I'm just missing the system itself. :P
My brother has the SNES at his place, but he borrowed Yoshi's Island to a friend over a year ago and that friend bailed out of the state and moved away without giving my brother some of his stuff back, including Yoshi's Island.
Bailed out of the state? Dang, sounds like a hell of a story behind that. Still, sucks that he never got his game (or his other stuff) back.
Oh, there is a hell of a story behind it, but long story short, don't become a drug dealer.
Anyways, it does suck that he never got some of his games back, especially Yoshi's Island. It's an expensive fucking game nowadays.
Yeah, it is. On the bright side, at least your brother didn't get roped into that drug dealing thing.
Yeah, he's not stupid like that.
I should hope not.

Yoshi's New Island is just Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island remastered, right? Or were new things added in, too?

As far as I saw, it wasn't a remaster. It was a whole new game, with different levels and bosses and such. It played pretty much exactly like Yoshi's Island, though, with the exception that it's a bit more difficult to 100% each level now and that the vehicle sections have gyroscopic control now.
